Founder, Work in Progress Youth Outreach Program

by Cytina

I have recently formed a Christian youth outreach program. I have it recognized as a non-profit in my state and was seeking to get 501c3 status. My intentions for doing that is so that I can apply for grants to help fund the program. After reading your article I see that 501c3 can be harmful for churches. What is the implication regarding a program like mine?

Youth Outreach Program and non-501c3 status

Hi,

Thanks for writing.

We can't do lengthy consultations or give you legal advice. But, as it has been said "Where there is a will there is a way". So...

You might try getting a 501c3 church to sponsor you.

Good luck.
